Pilgrim Congregational Church is located in Duluth, MN, about four blocks uphill from Lake Superior and two miles east of Downtown in an established residential neighborhood. Interim Rev. Jennifer Amy-Dressler has been with them for about 14 months as the congregation is deep into the process of calling a pastor, which includes the New Beginnings assessment of their congregation and an evaluation of what direction Pilgrim will be taking in the future.
Pilgrim Church was first established in 1871 and the current brick and slate building was dedicated in 1917. The Sanctuary has many beautiful stained glass windows and a magnificent Jaeckel organ. On average, attendance on Sundays is slightly over 100.
Duluth is a big “small town”. Pilgrim joins with many diverse religious entities to achieve the common goals of social justice, compassion, and assistance to all. The congregations most distinguishing characteristic is their dedication to music. All ages are included in a variety of programs as they host musical events from local groups to internationally renowned artists. When you worship at Pilgrim the service will be based on lengthy traditions combined with the awareness of contemporary concerns and topics.
