July Family Camp | July 16-21, 2017

Come join us  in the loving setting of Pilgrim Point Camp

July Family Camp at PPC&R is an opportunity open to ALL to experience the beauty of nature, the richness of intergenerational play and celebration, exploration of radical hospitality, classic camp activities, great conversations, beach time, solitude, laughter, singing…and that’s just the first day! And every day after that. A “family” could be grandparents and children, moms and/or dads and kids, households or individuals.

When: Arrival & check-in will be between 3-5pm on Sunday, July 16 with the opening supper being served at 5:30pm. We will depart Friday after breakfast & closing program (around 11am)
Where: Pilgrim Point Camps & Retreats, Alexandria, MN
Who: For anyone from any family seeking an intergenerational faith experience in an outdoor setting
Cost: 3 and under – FREE; Age 4-12 – $200; 13 and older – $270; Family Maximum of $1000. Make checks payable to the “Minnesota Conference UCC”
Deadline to Register: June 24, 2016. (Deposit of 50% is required – final payment must be made by July 10.)

August Family Camp | July 30-August 4, 2017

We welcome people from all congregations!

Sponsored by St. Anthony Park UCC in St Paul, August Family Camp offers a relaxed five days on beautiful Pilgrim Point that projects into Lake Ida near Alexandria, MN. Families quickly discover the community character in which kids mingle and roam while parents know all adults are keeping eyes on what’s happening. Open to all (nuclear and extended families, couples, singles) from all congregations! Come for swimming and the waterfront, intergenerational crafts, kickball, and evening lakeside vespers.

Rooms in the lodge and several cabins varying from three to twelve beds are available (bring your own towels and bedding). Campsites available with electric hookup and nearby bathrooms with showers. Meals are provided in the dining hall.

    How can people of faith work for environmental justice for all? How can we create Dr.
    Martin Luther King, Jr.’s beloved community - one that is sustainable, healthy, and inclusive? This train-the-trainer workshop will explore these questions with the goal of empowering conversation and actions around environmental justice that will continue far beyond the initial workshop.
